Paul joined the Forsgate Country Club staff as Director of Instruction in 2015. He was recognized by Golf Digest as one of The Best Teachers in New Jersey for 2017-2018, and he was selected by U.S. Kids Golf as one of 2017's Top 50 Kids Teachers. The U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 recipients represent 26 states, as well as five countries internationally. Locally, Paul was nominated in 2016 and 2017 for the New Jersey PGA Youth Development Award. Along the way, Paul has had the opportunity to learn from some of the game's greatest teachers including Bob Toski, Phil Ritson, Mark Sweeney, Chuck Evans, Henry Brunton, John Godwin, Dr. Rick Jensen, Gale Peterson, and Chicago golf legend Emanuel Worley.
At the Forsgate Golf Academy, Paul creates group and private coaching programs for adult and junior students to help them improve quickly. He uses the latest technology to coach a large number of junior golfers, several of whom are the best in their age groups in New York and New Jersey. Twelve of his students have earned spots in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships held annually at the Pinehurst Resort. Prior to arriving at Forsgate, Paul was a teaching professional at Royce Brook's Academy of Golf in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
Paul learned the game on Chicago's historic public Jackson Park Golf Course. He attended Colgate University and was co-captain of the golf team before he left early to play professional golf. Paul competed for three years on the Golden Bear (now Gateway) tour and other mini-tours but an injury thwarted his quest to play on the PGA TOUR.
Paul returned to school at Rutgers University and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science with highest honors. He earned a Juris Doctorate Degree, with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law, and passed the bars in New York and New Jersey. For several years, Paul worked as a child protective services prosecutor in the New Jersey Attorney General's office before returning in 2011 to a career in golf.
Paul uses his competitive experiences while coaching clients. In 2015, he advanced in the U.S. Open local qualifying with a score of 69 at Montammy Country Club, Alpine, New Jersey. Paul also led the Forsgate team to victory with 9 birdies at the 2015 NJPGA Open Pro Am at Bedens Brook Club, Skillman, New Jersey. In 2014, he shot a 69 at the New Jersey Assistant Section Championship. Paul qualified for the 2012 Metropolitan Open with a score of 68. He finished T-5th at the 2012 Bridgestone Premiere Pro-Am at Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio.
Carolyn grew up playing junior golf in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area where both her father and uncle have been PGA Club Professionals for over 40 plus years. She played collegiate golf at Oklahoma State University where she earned All-American honors. During this time, Carolyn also represented the United States in the USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship (played in Japan) in 1990 where the USA prevailed. Carolyn also won the Eastern Amateur that year. She then began playing on the mini tours.
After competing on the Futures tour (now Symetra tour) 1991-1995 Carolyn began working as an Assistant Golf Professional at Heathrow Country Club in Lake Mary, Florida for 4 years then became the Head Golf Professional at Tuscawilla Country club in Winter Springs, Florida. After 9 years at Tuscawilla, Carolyn came back to her roots and joined Forsgate Country Club as the Director of Golf in 2009.
Carolyn is a Top 50 US Kids Masters teacher and has been nationally recognized for her work with children and her Healthy Kids camp she ran while working in Florida.
Frank is arguably the best golfer in New Jersey. In 2015, he was fully exempt on the PGA Champions Tour. After turning pro in 1986, he served as an assistant pro at Montammy and Crestmont Country Club. He was also a Teaching Professional at Shackamaxon C.C. for one year before becoming the head pro at Brooklake C.C. in 2000. August views himself as a visionary and guide for the human experience. As an expert in human motivation, August begins by facilitating the individual's definition of personal success.
Dr. Leming, invites people to consider the lessons that are held within their own lives, bodies, and hearts. Teacher and student work together to apply a unique and synergistic combination of psychology, spirituality and physical education toward a higher-level of performance. What began as a journey of self-discovery has become a lifelong commitment to serving others.
Through the arts of public speaking, authorship, therapy and physical movement, August facilitates clarity and strength in others. Dr. Leming recently authored his first book, The Psychology of Coaching, as part of an internationally recognized course in behavior modification and motivation.
Dr. August Leming attended Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. He completed his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Seton Hall University, where he also served as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Adolescent Psychology, Child Psychology and Statistics. Dr. Leming's pioneering academic work earned him the American Psychological Association's Outstanding Professional Development Award in 2003. In addition, he has been an invited speaker at both the American Psychological Association and Eastern Psychological Association Annual Meetings.
Mike has worked in the Golf industry for over 16 years and has been a class A PGA Member since 2009. He has worked at some of the top course in the NJ area. Mike started his golf career as a bag boy here at Forsgate CC while still in High School. After high school Mike enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and spent six years before being Honorably Discharged as a Sergeant. Upon returning Mike spent 4 years at Knob Hill Golf Club in Manalapan as the First Assistant Golf Professional. After leaving Knob Hill, Mike spent the next 4 years at Plainfield Country Club as the First Assistant. Upon the request of the Members who were also members at Metedeconk National Golf Club Mike spent the next 4 years there as there as the First Assistant Professional. Wanting to spend some time with his family Mike switched gears and went to work for Dicks Sporting Goods for a few years as both the Golf Professional and as a Manager of the East Brunswick store.
Mike was on the NJPGA Assistant board from 2007 until 2013. He has also been nominated twice for Assistant Golf Professional of the year. He has a wide teaching background and has worked closely with Simon Holmes, Mike Bennett, and Andy Plummer.
Bob is a 27-year PGA member and a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach. He has also been certified by GolfTec and myspiritofgolf.com. In 1998, Bob was voted the most improved player in the Philadelphia PGA Section. He enjoys coaching passing on his love of the game to players of all ages and abilities.
